The Bee Yard

This year is a transition period for the production of honey on the MHS campus.  Last school year we lost our bees due to what we believe was an infestation by other insects.  When the boxes were originally placed on campus they were located several feet across the property line. During the 2022-2023 fall semester, the box stands are being moved onto the school's property. During the spring semester, Agriscience students will be adding new hives to the boxes and we hope to begin harvesting honey once again.
